The bad news first. Nightnoise disbanded officially towards the end of 2003, although the group had been dormant for some time. It never really survived the move back to Ireland of its three core members, Mícheál Ó’Domhnaill, Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill and Brian Dunning.

So we can’t expect any more tours, albums, etc.

Nevertheless, they made some great music and many of their albums are still available as CDs or electronically via the iTunes Music Store, etc.. Strangely, some albums are simply unavailable. The most flagrant example is the “Nightnoise” album by Mícheál Ó’Domhnaill and Billy Oskay (the LP and CD occasionally appear on eBay at exorbitant prices).
