Nightnoise was a great Celtic/"new age" group
- The group came into being as a result of Mícheál Ó Domhnaill and BIlly Oskay recording the album "Nightnoise" on the Windham HIll label. They were joined by Mícheál's sister, Tríona, and Brian Dunning. Oskay left the group around 1990, to be replaced by Johnny Cunningham. The group officially disbanded around 2003. They recorded six studio albums, and there are also three compilations. Their music could be described as modern instrumental with a celtic undertone.
